Bible Study Questions and Readings
“Heaven and earth shall pass away,
But my words shall not pass away,” said he
Who said what others could not say
Of all they talked and did so fruitlessly.
Yet he who spoke was crucified;
The truth he taught was met with mocking jeers,
But still his words are undenied;
That truth lives on through all these many years.
What fearless confidence had he!
He knew that truth could never be disproved,
That it would stand eternally
Although all other things might be removed.

To preserve a long course of years still and uniform, amid the uniform darkness of storm and cloud and tempest, requires strength from above, — deep draughts from the fount of divine Love.
